Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) today announces the administrative appointment of a new assistant principal for the 2026-2027 school year. The appointment is effective immediately.
Jahan Savage-Spriggs has been appointed as an assistant principal at Mattawoman Middle School. Prior to her appointment, Savage-Spriggs served as an administrative intern at Thomas Stone High School for three years. She also served as an assistant principal with the CCPS Extended School Year (ESY) program.
Before starting her administrative career with CCPS, Savage-Spriggs taught math at Theodore G. Davis Middle School. She also supports the CCPS Home and Hospital Program as an instructor. Before starting her teaching career with CCPS, Savage-Spriggs taught with Boston Public Schools and Hillsborough County School District in Florida.
The Board of Education of Charles County in May approved an assistant principal pool that included Savage-Spriggs.
