Assistant Principal Twanna Taylor joined the “Mission Possible Team” at Jenifer Elementary, in SY 2020-2021. My professional career as an educator span for 17 years of providing creative, robust, and real-world experiences in urban school districts with culturally diverse populations. I have a wide lens of experience in various roles as an instructional teaching assistant, 2nd grade, 5th grade, academic/enrichment coordinator, content lead teacher, and K-2 special education teacher.

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a dual master’s degree in childhood education/special education from Touro College Manhattan. After completing my 2nd  master’s degree in educational leadership from George Mason University, I pursued my dream of becoming a leader in education.

One fascinating fact about me is, I had the best experience as a production assistant stylist for Denzel Washington while shooting "Remember the Titans!" I ran around shopping for his off- set clothing, received no screen credit, and I didn't even care because it was a pleasure to watch him rock as an actor!
